To use it please start the\u00a0<i>Scanner Setup<\/i>\u00a0from the Formulator start menu group. In the list of all scanner drivers at the bottom of the dialog box please select this driver and click on\u00a0<b>Install<\/b>. The driver will now appear in the list\u00a0<i>Installed Scanners<\/i>\u00a0in the middle. Now click on\u00a0<b>As Default Scanner<\/b>\u00a0and click on\u00a0<b>OK<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>When you are scanning in Formulator the TWAIN dialog of your scanner software will appear. There you must set the color depth to black-and-white. Depending on the scanner manufacturer the color depth may be named scanning mode or something else. Instead of\u00a0<i>black-and-white<\/i>\u00a0the appropriate option may be named\u00a0<i>line art<\/i>\u00a0or\u00a0<i>bi-tone<\/i>.
